Foxfire Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 October 2026

Foxfire Wellbeing Companion ("Foxfire") is developed and provided by FrogForestDev.

We respect your privacy and believe your personal wellbeing information should remain under your control. This Privacy Policy explains what information Foxfire stores, how it is used, and how you can manage or delete it.

For privacy enquiries, please contact frogforestdev@gmail.com.

1. Our Commitment to Your Privacy

Foxfire is designed as an offline wellbeing companion that prioritises your privacy.

You can use Foxfire without providing us with your name, email address, or other account information.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

Depending on the features you choose to use, Foxfire may store the following information locally:

Companion Progress

Daily Activities and Quests

Wellbeing Tracking

Mood Tracking

Preferences and Chat

Some of this information may be personal or sensitive, particularly where it relates to your emotional wellbeing, medication, or daily health experiences.

Foxfire uses this information solely within the app to remember your preferences, display your history, update your companion's progress, and provide locally generated prompts and interactions.

Foxfire does not access your contacts, location, microphone, or camera.

3. Blanket Assistant and Chat Privacy

Foxfire includes a feature called the Blanket Assistant, which provides supportive, scripted interactions.

The Blanket Assistant operates using local keyword-based rules rather than an external generative AI service.

This means:

If you enable "Keep chat on this device", Foxfire stores up to 100 recent chat messages locally.

Disabling this option removes the saved chat copy. You can also select "Clear chat" to remove your current conversation.

The Blanket Assistant is an automated wellbeing feature, not a human support service.

4. Data Storage and Retention

Foxfire stores your information using local browser or app storage.

Information is retained according to the following limits:

When mood or chat storage reaches its limit, older entries are automatically discarded.

Daily checklist resets do not automatically erase your other saved information.

Foxfire does not maintain a remote database containing your in-app wellbeing entries.

5. How to Delete Your Information

You have control over the information Foxfire stores locally.

To delete your saved Foxfire information:

This removes Foxfire's locally saved data from that browser or app installation.

You can also delete your mood history or chat separately using the available controls.

Alternatively, you may remove locally stored information through your browser or device settings.

Please note that deleting information from Foxfire does not necessarily remove copies that may exist in operating-system backups or device-transfer services.

There is no Foxfire account to delete, and FrogForestDev does not hold a server copy of your in-app wellbeing entries.

6. Device Backups and Security

Foxfire does not currently provide its own cloud synchronisation, data export, or backup service.

However, Android operating-system backup is enabled in the current app.

Depending on your device, account, backup provider, and settings, operating-system backup or device-transfer services may include locally stored app information.

These services operate independently of Foxfire and are subject to their respective providers' privacy practices.

If you wish to manage or delete backup copies, please use the relevant provider's backup and account settings.

Important security information:

Although Foxfire stores information locally, local storage does not guarantee encryption, separate password protection, or protection against someone who has access to your unlocked device.

We recommend using your device's security features and avoiding the storage of information you would not want accessible to others using your device.

Clearing application storage, uninstalling Foxfire, or losing access to your device may permanently remove information that Foxfire cannot recover.

7. Contacting FrogForestDev

If you contact FrogForestDev by email, we may receive personal information that you voluntarily include, such as:

We use this information to respond to your enquiry, investigate reported issues, and provide support.

Support correspondence is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for these purposes or to meet applicable obligations.

For your privacy, please avoid including passwords, medication details, or private wellbeing journal entries in support requests.

You may request deletion of your support correspondence by contacting frogforestdev@gmail.com, subject to any applicable retention requirements.

8. Third-Party Services and Websites

Foxfire's offline wellbeing features do not require third-party analytics, advertising, or AI processing services.

However, certain services outside Foxfire may process information independently.

These include:

If you are reading this Privacy Policy on our Google Sites website, Google may process information relating to your website visit in accordance with its own privacy practices.

You can review these practices in Google's Privacy Policy.

Visiting our website is separate from entering personal wellbeing information into Foxfire.

9. Wellbeing and Medical Disclaimer

Foxfire is intended to provide general wellbeing support, personal reflection, and a gentle companion experience.

Foxfire is not a medical device or a substitute for professional healthcare.

The application does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical or mental health condition.

The Blanket Assistant and other automated features do not provide professional medical advice, crisis intervention, or live safety monitoring.

If you require medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, please consult an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

Foxfire is not an emergency service and cannot monitor your safety or respond to emergencies.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to Foxfire's features, data handling practices, or applicable requirements.

When changes are made, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how Foxfire handles your information.
