Volunteer To Support the School Matinee
Volunteer ushers work with Mondavi Center staff to manage as many as1500 students and their chaperones in attendance each school matinee. School matinees performances are on weekdays and begin at 11:00 am. Most performances are an hour in length.
2025-2026 School Matinee Calendar
Members of the School Outreach Committee have the opportunity to work directly with representatives of the school districts receiving tickets donated by the Friends of the Mondavi Center.
Volunteer as a Tour Guide at the Mondavi Center.
Learn more about the building’s physical features and the operations of a vibrant arts facility. Tours are free but require reservations.
Tours are approximately 1 hour and can be scheduled on Monday afternoons between 1:00 and 3:00 pm. Tours will include Jackson Hall, the Vanderhoef Studio Theatre, and lobby areas. Backstage access may also be included.
Volunteer to support activities focused on UC Davis students.
Volunteers assist Mondavi Center staff at a Student Welcome event in late September.
Volunteers help Mondavi Center staff each quarter at at free coffee-and-donut events during the week before finals.
Join the Events Committee
Committee members plan and coordinate social and educational events for the Friends, along with tours of facilities and museums at UC Davis. Guests are always welcome. Events often feature speakers from the Mondavi Center and professors from UC Davis. The events are designed to focus programs at both the Mondavi Center and greater UC Davis community.
Join the Membership Committee
Members of this committee reach out to members of the community interested in supporting the Mondavi Center. They welcome new members and encourage involement in Friends activites.
