Mondavi Center’s School Matinee Series is an integral part of Mondavi Center's goal to support school district curriculum and build future audiences for the performing arts. Supported by the Friends of Mondavi Center and The John & Eunice Davidson Fund, Mondavi Center Arts Education programs often serve as many K–12 students first, or only, exposure to professional music, theater, circus arts and dance.
Since the opening of Mondavi Center in 2002, more than 300,000 students, teachers and chaperones have attended Mondavi Center school matinees. The Mondavi Center helps prepare students and teachers for the school matinee experience with free Study Guides for teachers which provide info on the performances and artists, vocabulary words, in-class activities, and what teachers and students can expect from a visit to Mondavi Center. Contact friendsofmondavi@gmail.com if your school is interested in attending a matinee.
