Membership

For years Friends of Bixby Park has provided programs, revitalization and renovations, including: 

• Organizing the "Keep Our Parks Clean" campaign, and the "Bixby Park Litter-Free" contest;

• Supporting a dedicated Farmer's Market in the park;

• Securing a Wells Fargo grant for plants around the playground garden;

• Winning the Navy Heritage Grant for period appropriate light fixtures on Parcel 1;

• Providing ongoing free children's craft events, Kids' Disco, family movie nights, music, and art fairs; Organizing Earth Day, Halloween  and Christmas events;

• Coordinating monthly park cleanups (we are out every day to make sure the park is happy and clean);

• Partnering with local law enforcement and city officials to ensure park safety is a top priority;

• Creating a Wildflower Garden for butterflies and bees.
