Friends of Bixby Park has provided programs, revitalization and renovations, including:

Working with the city to design a "Keep Our Parks Clean" campaign;
Collaborating with former Councilwoman Suja Lowenthal to bring a dedicated Farmer's Market to the park;
Securing a Wells Fargo grant for plants around the playground garden;
Winning the $15,000 Navy Heritage Grant for period appropriate light fixtures on Parcel 1;
Providing ongoing free children's public theater, family movie nights, and music nights;
Coordinating monthly park cleanups;
Partnering with local law enforcement and city officials to ensure park safety is a top priority.
