Stephen Turner ACA – professional property specialist

They say ‘Covid-19 changes everything’ and so it does. But when it comes to property nothing changes – it can lock up lots of much-needed cash but, at the same time, it’s still the best store of real value.

So, whether you need to sell or you want to buy, experience always counts. Stay on top of your property transaction, through all the inevitable twists and turns – from evaluation to completion.

I can advise on :

  • The management of complex deals – keeping the momentum going, target setting and monitoring, task progress chasing, etc .

  • Process and governance – board decision-making, reporting and stakeholder covenants, property value and funding issues

  • Tax aspects – when you need to seek specialist tax advice on a transaction

  • Cashflow implications of acquisitions or disposals – including the management of creditors in times of uncertainty.

Bio:

After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, I spent my full-time working life in construction and property. I first joined a privately-owned housebuilder and later moved on to international contractor Balfour Beatty. In 1995 I returned to an SME environment where I remained for over 20 years, becoming group finance director of a well-respected land trading and regeneration company.

In 2009 I set up a small accountancy practice specialising in property clients. During my career I have worked closely with lawyers and other professionals, with banks and private investors and have considerable experience of corporate sales, as well as residential and commercial property.

Now semi-retired, I divide my time between a couple of longstanding clients and family history research.
