It is assumed that headhunters only work with international corporations and PLCs. Whilst I do have clients like that, I also believe that private, owner-managed and family businesses should have access to the best people too, and I have regularly placed brilliant executives and non-executives with mid-market and SME enterprises. I am passionate about supporting entrepreneurs and was pleased to accept an invitation to join the CBI’s National SME Council to engage with government on SME issues. Bio:

Graduate engineer. Early career with IBM and Jaguar Cars. Infantry officer with British Army. Executive Search with Whitehead Mann (now Korn/Ferry) in London, then Norman Broadbent in Birmingham (NBS). In 1996 joined Deloitte to lead Executive Search in the Midlands. In 1999 regulation changed for accountancy firms and executive search was deemed to compromise auditor independence, so left Deloitte to start PGC in early 2000. Partner of Friisberg & Partners International since 2010 when his firm acquired shares in this Swiss-based Executive Search Group originally established in 1977 and which now has over 30 offices globally.
