We are using a 350 Mbps single strand fiber solution distributed by a local ISP. Due to grant requirements, we are limiting each user to speeds of six Mbps for download and 2mbps for upload. While Fresno Housing recognizes these speeds are well below nationally recognized definitions of “adequate bandwidth”, the initial goal is to enable K-8 students to be able to continue working on homework in the comfort of their own home. Eventually we would like to increase bandwidth as prices come down.
Once the ISP has installed the circuit, collect the following information
- Circuit ID
- WAN IP
- Subnet
- DNS
- Gateway
