Self Awareness
You get to know who you really are; your values, beliefs and the purpose you wish to pursue. True fulfilment can never come from chasing other people's dreams. If you want to achieve lasting happiness you need to design a life that you love based on who you are. Then you can chase your own goals and dreams.
Everyday, you receive information about your life and what you want to manifest your life into, but if you are not aware, these messages slip by without you even noticing and a great opportunity for growth is lost.
Take time everyday to reflect, think about what is going on your life. If there is something you aren't liking, change it!
A Sense of Direction
Decision making becomes a lot easier when you have raised self-awareness. Tasks which used to take a great deal of your time will not longer make it onto your to-do list. You now realize that making priorities is essential and what does not move you towards your objective is not worthy of your time.
There is no need to make your life smaller by overloading yourself with things that you don't really need to be doing. Reduce your workload and improve the quality of everything that you do. If you want to improve, the real key to success is to do less and do it better.
Improved Focus & Effectiveness
Even with an improved sense of direction, there will always be multiple taks looking for your attention. You become clearer on your vision and your objectives. You can quickly identify which task will give you the best results with the resources available to you.
One of the biggest obstacle to focus is distraction. Being committed to PD helps you to resist the distractions without needed to have deadlines looming.
You will start to enjoy the important tasks more because you can see what they are leading to and it is easier to get yourself working because you realize that you can improve on what you have done but you can never improve of what has not been done.
More Motivation
When you know what you want to achieve, it is easier for you to see the benefit of taking action. Even when the task ahead is not enjoyable; if you can see a benefit, you are more motivated to take action.
'When there is a will, there is a way'
Everyday you become one step closer to achieving your goal that will improve your life. You can visualize the benefits you will experience and this is what builds a will to accomplish the goal. This is where your most powerful motivation comes from; YOU.
As you progress, you see that the real goals are the actions you need to take daily. Just focus on what you need to do next and get that done. Break it down. Take it one step at a time. Each smaller step will cumulate into being one step closer to that bigger goal being achieved.
Greater Resilience
There will be tough times in life. When these tough times occur, you need to have the skills and attributes to deal effectively with them. PD can not prevent these things from happening but they can certainly help you deal with them when they do.
Most often, these events will happen due to circumstances beyond your control, and other times you screw up a bit BUT that is okay because we are all human. You learn that you can change just about any circumstance in your life and if you can't change the circumstance, you can change your attitude towards the experience.
You have the ability to stay calm, composed and in control, allowing you to minimize the damage caused by the negative experience.
More Fulfilling Relationships
Relationships either lift you up or drag you down. You are better able to see which relationships are worth investing in and which need to be cut loose. You also develop the skills to make the most of those relationships which have the most positive impact on your life.
Being friendly with someone is you spending time with them when you bump into them. If you are friends with someone, you make time for them and you are prepared to go out of your way to help them, if you can. you genuinely care about them and their wellbeing is important to you. A great deal of stress in life comes from not distinguishing between those two types of relationships. You end up giving too much time to the wrong people and not enough time to those whom you should be giving time to.
