Communicating Across Curriculum
During Spring 2023 I was nominated and accepted to give my presentation on cancel culture at the Communicating Across Curriculum student conference. Here I had the opportunity to communicate to professors and students the research conducted throughout the semester.
NASA Minority University Research and Education Project (MUREP) Innovation and Tech Transfer Idea Competition (MITTC)
With a group of five other Lone Star students, we created, developed, and pitched a product with business plan to NASA employees and business coaches. During this time we spent four days demonstrating professionalism by dressing appropriately, listening and interacting with speakers, and communicating on stage.
As a full time student, I have the ability to balance my time to work 30 hours a week as an hourly manager at Outback Steakhouse. Although working many hours, I have managed my time to have a 3.95 GPA, and be apart of other organizations, such as MITTC and the peer mentor program. I was also asked to speak on the Time Management Workshop panel, to share tips and my experience.
