Through my time in the honors college I have had the opportunity to make massive progress on many outcomes evident through the artifacts. My GOVT2026 paper highlights an incorporation of primary and secondary sources. After writing that research paper I gained significant progress in articulating arguments, and using different sources to prove points. In addition to using the sources, the government research paper provided me the opportunity to demonstrate professionalism through the interview conducted with a Rice professor. Through my time at the honors college I have been able to craft and further develop original open-ended research questions. While continuing my education, I will have the opportunity to advance this outcomes. The portfolio also revealed some gaps: culture competency, leadership, and service. During the next year at the honors college, I will focus on gaining more experience in this fields on and off campus.Â
