FUN RUN OCT. 22nd
Katie's daughter Lyla is a 5th grader in Ms. Roche's class and her son Logan is starting 1st grade at Franklin with Miss Hamwey. This is third year with the PTO and second year as President after serving a year as Co-VP. Growing up she saw her mom, a recently retired teacher, give so much of herself and her talents to her school and her students in the school she was lucky enough to also attend. She hopes to be a part of that tradition in some small way too.
She'd like to use her creativity and enthusiasm to help support events and how our faculty, staff, and students how much we care about them!
More to help you get to know Katie: "I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Registered Art Therapist, and am part of the Psychology Department at Merrimack College. I love using my free time to go hiking with my family, work on art projects with my kids and create homemade gifts for people in my life."
Emily's son is a 5th grader in Miss Espinola's class and her son Drew will be a Franklin Dragon in 2026. This is Emily's first year on the PTO after being an active volunteer and organizing a very successful fundraiser in the Fall. Much of what the PTO does is in her "wheelhouse" so it felt like it was natural to focus her efforts and involvement on Franklin School. With a background in sales she is not scared to ask for money or plan an event. Her goal is to do whatever she can do to support the staff, get to know the Franklin community and be involved in her boys school life will make an impact along with many memories.
She would like to do more with less and hopes to make the most of a few great events to reach our goals.
More to help you get to know Emily: "I have a house full of non stop sporty dudes so am always planning my next girls night, weekend, or trip."
Whitney's son Theo is in 3rd grade with Ms. Barry and her son Cole is in 1st grade with Ms. Mullen. This is her second year with the PTO. Whitney's dad was a teacher and active in the PTO of her elementary school when she was growing up and it always stood out to her. She wanted to do the same for her kids and is thankful have the flexibility to be able to help.
She hopes to see increased community involvement this year.
More to help you get to know Whitney: "I own a small business based in town (Healthy At Home Physical Therapy), I can be found playing pickleball almost every day of the week."
Liz's son Landon is in 2nd grade with Ms. Quirk. This is her first year with the PTO but she was an active volunteer at many PTO events last year! Being "newer" to North Andover and new to Franklin Liz wanted to make connections with other parents, school staff, and the community. She also felt like it was important to help support the wonderful Franklin teachers, administration and staff of the school! Being being an active participant in her son's education and making sure he has the best school experience while aiding the Franklin community at the same time is very important to Liz.
She hopes to promote more attendance to PTO meetings and more volunteers!
More to help you get to know Liz: "When I'm not parenting or working you can find me somewhere outdoors! I have Landon (7) going into 2nd grade at Franklin and Connor (2). The beach is my happy place, along with hiking and skiing! Pickleball is my "newer" found joy! You can find us playing pickleball in the evening in the driveway! You can talk to me about anything BRAVO or reality TV!"
Jenny's daughter Adelyn is in 4th grade with Ms. Hahberg and her daughter Astrid is in 2nd grade with Mrs. Neeley. This is her second year with the PTO. Jenny joined the PTO because she wanted to give back to Franklin and connect with other families.
Jenny hopes to plan some special events for the kids and families and meet new families at Franklin.
More to help you get to know Jenny: "I substitute at Franklin, so I might see some of you at school! On my free time, I like gardening and hiking at Weir Hill."
Keri's daughter Corine is in 3rd grade with Mrs. Guarente and her son Kai is in 2nd grade with Miss Quirk. This is her third year with the PTO. Keri grew up with both parents who were teachers and saw first hand how dedicated teachers are and how much work goes into this profession. She also loves seeing how happy her kids are to see her at school and knows that won't last forever!
She hopes to have new parents get involved and see how just helping with one event can make a difference.
More to help you get to know Keri: "As an associate director for engineering at Raytheon I take a lot of interest in math and science."
