Teaching in Utrecht

As part of my PhD duties I have been teaching assistant of eight bachelor courses. Each course last one block (about 9 weeks), with 4 hours of lectures (hoorcolleges) and 4 hours of exercise sessions (werkcolleges) per week. I supervised and helped the students in classroom while they tried to solve the exercises on their own; in addition, I was responsible for the correction and grading of students’ assignments every two weeks and the supervision, correction and grading of the final exam.

The bachelor courses are officially in Dutch: I used English to communicate with the students in my first two years, and Dutch from September 2017 onwards.

In addition, I have been twice teaching assistant of a mastermath course, where I supervised the weekly hour of exercises, I was in charge of the correction and grading of the problem sets, as well as proofreading the lecture notes, and I was part of the committee for the oral exams.

I have also co-organised a curricular reading seminar for a small group of master students: I chose the reading materials, gave an introductory lecture, coordinated and helped the students preparing the following ones, and graded their presentation. All the master courses are officially in English.

🧑🏽‍🏫 Sept 2017: 14-hours minicourse on Lie pseudogroups (at Universiteit Utrecht, in preparation for the Lie pseudogroups workshop I organised)

🧑🏽‍🏫 June 2016: 5-hours on Lie groupoids, Lie algebroids and integration of Poisson manifolds, part of a minicourse on Poisson geometry (at Universiteit Utrecht, in preparation for the 2016 Poisson summer school)
