As an independent artist, a lot of what I do can also be seen on my social media pages (TikTok, Instagram). I post a lot of covers as well as snippets of original songs that I plan on releasing in the future. Depending on the style of video, I sometimes record and mix the audio on Cubase first before filming multiple shots to put together on iMovie (I have a lot of fun making these videos!). Feel free to follow my journey on TikTok to see even more videos and stay up to date!
"changes" is my most recent single, and I'm very happy to say that it's finally out! The first draft of this song was created for a songwriting class that I took in my third year of university (2021) and a couple years of experience later, I revisited it to create the version I released in October 2025. This is the first upbeat song I've put on streaming platforms, with a driving drum beat and a whole lot of layered guitars. The lyrics themselves speak on the reality of growing up and the sinking feeling of not knowing what to do with yourself anymore as everything around you changes. Click here to give it a listen!
"suddenly" is a song I wrote about realizing you're in love with your best friend. Produced and mixed by myself (and mastered by Caleb Hyde from The Recording Factory), I wanted to lean more into the indie-folk vibe by having the main focus be the fingerpicking acoustic guitar. The calm nature of the instrumental which slowly builds up to the harmony-filled outro mimics the gradual unawareness of falling in love and then one day suddenly realizing it. "hang to dry" is the first song I've ever released on streaming platforms and I am very proud of it! It was written, produced, and mixed by myself and the mastering was done by Caleb Hyde from The Recording Factory (and the lovely album art was created by my friend Kai Im). This song is about outgrowing a relationship with somebody who you still care for and I had a lot of fun writing it since I don't often find myself writing piano ballads. These are demos of a few original songs that I eventually plan to release. I've included the lyrics for them in the drop-down tab beside each title. All three of these songs were recorded and mixed in Cubase and while I do want to go back to re-work a few things before their release, I'm happy with how these demos sound so far!
Did everything right
I listened to her
Delusional mind
Stuck in reverse
Maybe I should feel nothing at all
I've been playing with this moment all my life
Empty pages whisper phrases
Weighing down my head
Sometimes I just need to close my eyes
(Cottonball brain, I remember you x2)
Verse:
Staring down at me
I don't really mind
Paint a picture with my hands
Run it back again
Let me breath it in
Now you're looking at me funny
Pre-Chorus:
But it's hard
I just find it hard to say
Chorus:
Sometimes I think about the days too much
But I'm moving through the motions saying nothing
Can we dance away the problems of our lives?
Verse:
Do you ever feel
Just like how I feel?
Do you ever think about it all the time?
Is it obvious?
Did I think my thoughts a little bit too loud?
Oh no
Pre-Chorus:
But there's no one around
I look out my window
Then close the curtains
On purpose
And turn the other way
I still find it hard to say
Chorus:
Sometimes I think about the days too much
But I'm moving through the motions saying nothing new
Can we dance away the problems of our lives?
Bridge:
Wake me up before you leave
Never letting go of this
Maybe we could dream tonight
Teach me how to learn again
Filling up the photo books
Picturing a life with you
Maybe we could dream tonight
Maybe you could teach me what I couldn't say
Chorus:
Sometimes I think about the days too much
But I'm moving through the motions saying nothing
Are we running circles or running out of time?
Sometimes I think about the days too much
But I'm moving through the motions saying nothing new
Can we dance away the problems of our lives?
Just you and me
Verse:
I'm reaching over again
Am I awake or is this a dream?
I've fallen down this hole so many times
Not to know
I'm making friends with a ghost
I heard she's someone I used to see
But now
I don't know her
Pre-Chorus:
It's a one-way street
Leading through this town
And I can't go back 'cause I don't know how
And they're staring while I'm thinking
On the floor
Chorus:
Am I a stranger?
Do people know me?
Is there a meaning in the sidewalks of this wasteland?
Are you still breathing?
Or barely dreaming?
I think I need a moment alone to carry on
Verse:
But hey, I still remember
That broken record that you'd spin
Around and round
They said, "don't forget"
So I just pretend to
Leaving laundry out in the cycle
'Cause lately I've been hanging my thoughts on a line
Pre-Chorus:
There's a one-way street
To get out of town
But the voices whisper things too loud
And I can't remember how to be alone
Chorus:
Am I a stranger?
Do people know me?
Is there a meaning in the sidewalks of this wasteland?
Are you still breathing?
Or barely dreaming?
'Cause I don't think I wanna be lonely anymore
Outro (hindsight):
If I could go back
Like it was yesterday
Would things be fine?
It seemed so clear
Standing in the fog
But not this time
Strangers look familiar
In a place I'll never know
I don't ever want another face to see
The space where my mind goes
Remembering the days
When I could still
Find my way back home
