Getting Married

The priest will meet with you both and will fill in a form for you, and he will interview you both to investigate whether you are both free to marry. In most cases there is no problem. However, if you have been married before, you will have to inform him of the circumstances of the first marriage, and take with you to the interview any proof of death of your spouse, or proof of annulment given by the Church Authority. Please note that if you have been divorced, the priest will advise you whether you may be able to have the marriage annulled, which is required in the Catholic Church to allow you to marry. Please arrange to meet with the Parish Priest who will help you all he can.
