Initial Seven FQAS Competencies

The FQAS process consists of two parts:

1. Initial Seven FQAS Competencies

2. On-going Professional Development Plans

All credit instructors must complete the required courses listed below.

• Part-time instructors have (5) five years from their date of hire to complete these courses.

• Full-time instructors have (3) three years from their date of hire to complete these courses.

CPL for FQAS Competency Courses:

Faculty members may earn Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) for FQAS requirements. The skills and knowledge gained through prior learning must be comparable to the competencies required in the FQAS.

• The FQAS-Recognized Credit for Prior Learning form must be completed and submitted to the course instructor for their signature. Once completed and signed, submit to Nicolet College's FQAS Officer, Kris Peeters to receive credit.

• If you have completed FQAS courses through other colleges, please forward that evidence to the FQAS Officer.
