THE FIRST MOBILITY REPORT IN DEMİRCİ NECİP FAZIL KISAKÜREK ANADOLU LİSESİ, MANISA, TURKEY BETWEEN 16TH - 21ST FEBRUARY, 2020
16TH FEBRUARY, 2020
- Each partner arrived at Adnan Menderes Airport in İzmir and the teachers of host country met their guests at the airport. They travelled to Demirci town in Manisa.
- The teachers checked in the hotel and the guest students were taken to their host families.
17TH FEBRUARY, 2020
- Teachers had breakfast at their hotel and students with their host families.
- Each group were taken to the host school.
- All the groups met at the school meeting room.
- The headmaster made the opening speech and all the groups introduced themselves and the name tags were given to each attendants.
- The host school gave information about the schedule during Turkey visit.
- Each partner school made a presentation about their school, city and country. (Powerpoint presentations)
- All the partner countries cut the welcome cake together.
- The host teachers and all the guests made a tour through the school building.They met the teachers of the school and the students. The guests were given information about the school system in Turkey.
- All the groups went to the city centre to have lunch that was arranged in advance by the host country. The guests tasted the traditional dishes from Turkey.

- The students ate dinner with the host families. The teachers ate dinner together and tasted Turkish traditional dishes.
18TH FEBRUARY, 2020
- Meeting at school
- Each school made a presentation about the project topic. The presentations included the number of the students presenting aggressive and violent behaviour, causes, effects, context and measures taken at the level of each school/city/country. Students made the presentations.
- Students attended the lessons with their host students after the presentations.
- The teachers discussed about the project aims, activities, evaluation and dissemination activities in details, what can be done for the complete success of the project. They determined the exact dates for the rest of the mobilities.
- Lunch at the school dining hall.
- In the afternoon, students did project-based workshops. During these workshops, students were divided into mixed groups. Each group were given an example situation about bullying at schools and asked “What would you do if…..?” But their solutions had to be from a different viewpoint (six hat method). They also found slogans for the project.
- Some of the teachers attended an art exhibition of Turkish traditional art (Ebru, Naht)

19TH FEBRUARY, 2020
- Meeting at school
- Students are divided into groups for workshops on Turkish handicrafts at the School Conference Hall
- (Marbling Art, Wood Painting, Ceramic Painting, Wood Cutting, Jewellery Design)
- Students made some examples of Turkish handicrafts.
- Lunch at the school dining hall
- The Visits to local sightseeings (Carpet factories, a mosque)
· First they visited the local newspaper “Halıkent” and met the ownwr of the newspaper who is a 86-year-old lady, one of the first women in this field.
· Secondly, they visited an old mosque in the city centre and had information about the history, interior design and praying in this mosque.
· Finally, they visited a carpet factory in the city as Demirci city is famous for its handmade carpets.

20TH FEBRUARY, 2020
- All the students and teachers made the official visits to the mayor, Local Education Directorate and governor of the city. They exchanged information about their country and city.
- All the groups went to Hisar Thermal Springs, which is a local sightseeing place. They visited the historical Turkish bath there and got information about Turkish bath and the history of the city.
- Lunch at the school dining hall.
- The groups came to the school building .
- Attendance Certificates were given.
- All the attendants made an evaluation of the first mobility in Demirci
- All the groups presented their souvenirs.
- In the evening all the guest students and teachers together with the host students had a farewell dinner and danced with Turkish music and played their songs.
21ST FEBRUARY, 2020
- Departure from Demirci
- Arrival to Virgin Mary’s House
- The Visit to the Ephesus Ancient City
- Lunch in Şirince, which is a historical village in Selçuk (Traditional meal of the region is Çöpşiş.)
- Free time in Şirince Village
- Arrival in İzmir
- Free time in a shopping mall near the hotel and dinner.
- Check-in the hotel

- Check-out from the hotel and leaving the groups to the airport.
