Welcome!
The Flux Lab delves into the intriguing transport phenomena, described by three parameters: flux (which also lends our group its name!), potential gradient, and resistance. To illustrate, consider the heat transfer, where the heat flux resulting from the temperature gradient and thermal resistance. Similarly, fluid flow, diffusion, and the ionic current density are associated with pressure, concentration, and voltage gradients, respectively. We explore and tailor diverse transport phenomena, with innovative interface and material engineering, to tackle the pressing challenges in energy, electronics, and space applications.
