Manel Llena

Manel Llena is a fluvial geomorphologist with interests in sediment transport and geomorphic processes at different temporal and spatial scales. He has an undergraduate degree on Geography from the University of Lleida (Spain) and a master degree on Soil and Water Management from the University of Lleida, the University of Barcelona, the Autonomous University of Barcelona and the Public University of Pamplona (Spain). He has a PhD in Physical Geography from the University of Lleida (2019) supervised by Damià Vericat (University of Lleida) and Mark Smith (University of Leeds). During his PhD, Manel has visited two international institutions (Research Institute for Geo-Hydrological Protection of the Italian National Research Council in Padova, Italy; and the Utah State University, USA) amounting to a total of 7 months. Currently, from the 1st of February 2020 until present, he is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Biological, Geological and Environmental Sciences (BiGeA), University of Bologna (Italy).
