Animal Care
After raising the funds to purchase a chicken nesting box and a family donation of a chicken run, our children help construct the home for our new chickens. We are excited to raise and bond with our ladies ~ Dandelion, Lily, Roselle and Tulip. The eggs we sell will help pay for animal feed and other animal care items.
Our children also have the opportunity to strengthen empathy and care for others, while learning what our potbelly pigs ~ Nacho and Porky ~ need to be healthy and happy.

Meet our resident support puppy ~ Molly. Her licks, snuggles and silly antics brighten every day. We also have sweet little kitty friends ~ Belle and Percy ~ who love pets and bring a sense of calmness to our class spaces. Our students also bring so much to the lives of our little friends.

Gardening
Over the past year, we planted Pakistani Mulberry trees. These magical trees will offer shade, climbing opportunities and a perineal food source for years to come. This past year, we planted citrus trees, a Chinese elm and Honeysuckle bushes as be further grow a new microclimate to cool are neighborhood.
We are beginning our winter planting of herbs flowers, kales, lettuces carrots, beets and microgreens. These growing experiences help of our students develop a relational understanding of biological processes, soil development and market opportunities s.
