In order to find inspiration for this project, I searched for "3D printing projects" on Pinterest. I chose an elephant because elephants are my favorite animals and I liked how the design looked.
Design Process
Initially, I didn't have a sketch for this project, so I just started creating my design using OnShape. In the beginning, it was hard because I didn't really know where to start, so it took me a while before I found the direction I was going in.
Materials, Tools, and Resources
I used PLA (plastic) in order to make the elephant look 3D. This was done using a website called OnShape and was executed using a Prusa 3D Printer. As I have mentioned previously, I also used Pinterest as inspiration.
Challenges
The greatest challenge throughout this whole process was mainly learning how to use OnShape. I had to get used to learning how to navigate it and what each tool did, as well as adjusting to the different perspectives and parameters that the website gives off. Other than that, the project was fairly easy.
