This week I worked on programming the core gameplay mechanics demo of SelfReflection. I mainly focused on the player movements and I also collaborated with Jacky and Kaifeng to put our code together for the demo. Other than that I set up the GitHub repo and Unity project.
Brainstormed a new Level design method.
Completed Vincent's character and background with Erika.
Created a backstory with Erika.
Helped workflow between these changes and the demo game.
Worked on the GDD and rewrote the pitch slides.
Coordinated the workflow of the art and story team.
Worked with Producer and TDs to rework the game flow.
Determined a correct voice for Vincent
Acted out some crisp lines for Vincent
Created Level 1 Rooms 1-3 pre-production models
Wrote the script for the first three iterations of level 1.
Redesigned game format to introduce a hub world with 3 challenge levels in it. Each level having different difficulties played through in order. The challenge levels themselves can be played in any order and lead back to the hub when complete.
Organized the Story to follow a more reasonable idea. Created scripts for specific parts of new design.
Designed the Time Challenge and its 3 iterations. Each one has 4 major parts, 1-3 iterate off of each other. 4 is unique in each one.
Wrote Script for Time challenge.
Recorded Audio for Time challenge.
Created Sequence Mockup level
Created editor script to replace prefab in level with other prefab.
Created Sell Presentation
Finished up Sequence
