Caring therapy for children, adolescents, individuals, and families
Welcome!
Has the stress of life left you feeling overwhelmed? Do you have difficulty coping with day to day activities due to depression, anxiety, grief, or another emotional issue? Finding someone who can walk with you in this difficult time is an important first step towards feeling better!
I can offer you or your child a safe place, filled with unconditional acceptance to share the difficulties that life has placed in your path. My passion is helping you move from depression, anxiety, grief, or low self- esteem into a person equipped to live your best life possible.
As a cognitive-behavioral therapist, my goal is to help you feel better by recognizing the way that your thoughts affect your behavior, well-being, and life experiences. During therapy, we will work to identify the current situation or problem that is holding you back. Together, we will work together to form a plan to get your thoughts, actions, and experiences back "on the track" that you desire towards an abundant life.
I have experience in helping people move past depression, anxiety, grief, fear, and a number of other emotional issues. I am trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (ages 3-18) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (ages 18 +). Both forms of therapy have been empirically proven effective for treating Post Traumatic Stress Disorder due to war, sexual abuse, domestic abuse, physical abuse, or other trauma. I provide marital therapy. My book, The Price of Love, a guide to reclaiming and renewing marital happiness is available on Amazon, but I provide the book free during couple's therapy. I am certified as a Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) practitioner and a Life Coach. Using these skills and my book, As a Man Thinks: How to Change Your World by Changing Your Thoughts, I can help you set goals and develop a life plan to help you achieve the life that you desire. In addition, I have extensive experience treating children with behavioral issues. My book SCORE Positive contains the plan that I developed to help children and adolescents dealing with anger and other behavioral issues. I am certified as an Anger Management Specialist II and provide anger management counseling. In addition, I practice EMDR.
Not only do I provide a safe place to discuss your problems, I also provide results oriented techniques so that together we move past the obstacles in your path and towards the life that you desire. Give me a call today to begin your journey towards health and happiness.
