  • Today you will be going on a Nature Scavenger Hunt!

  • Once you find an item make a checkmark in the circle next to the name of that item.

  • When you have found as many items as you can, put them together and send a picture via SeeSaw to your teacher!

Math and Art

  • You will need a white piece of paper, pencil, and markers, colored pencils, or crayons.

  • Cut the shape labels apart. (cylinder, sphere, cube, cone)

  • Look around your house and find 2 items for each shape.

  • Sort the words into the long ē, y and ey patterns.

  • Then write them into the correct column.

  • Using “Seesaw” take a picture of the activity and send it to your teacher!

  • Read the next list in your fluency booklet.

  • Would you rather have a pet rabbit or a pet dog? Explain why you would want that pet. Give at least two reasons why.

Math

  • Fact Family Fact Families-Cut out fact triangles 1, Activity Sheet 11 (located in the back of your math journal), 9 triangles TOTAL.

  • Glue 3 triangles across the top of a sheet of paper to create the “roof” of 3 houses. Then draw the bottom of the house, leaving room for your “fact family.” Use the blue, orange and pink paper included in your resource envelope.

  • Repeat with the remaining triangles. SAVE!

  • Finish treasure map.

  • Glue map pieces onto the white treasure map.

  • Glue white treasure map onto the big folded yellow paper.

  • Give your treasure map a title.

  • Glue pirate, key, and compass rose onto the big folded yellow treasure map.

  • Color the key to match the map pieces.

  • Mark the trail from the pirate to the treasure chest with an X.

  • Play Simile and Metaphor Tic Tac Toe Game with a partner. (You can use a paperclip and pencil for the spinner instead of a paperclip and fastener).

  • Do the “Recording Near Doubles” Activity (located in your resource envelope).

  • Remember to record your answers on the sheet provided.

  • Play “Domino Top It” (located in your resource envelope).

Word Work

  • Cut out the /u/and /oo/ words.

  • Sort the pink cards.

  • Write the words on the recording sheet.

  • Take a picture of your activity and upload it to SeeSaw (or Remind).

  • Write and tell about how you are feeling about school work at home.

  • Read a nonfiction book of your choice.

  • Complete the Nonfiction News paper found in your packet.

  • List 2 facts that you learned and draw a picture to go with both.

  • If you do not have a book at home, find a story on EPIC.

  • Take a picture of the completed activity and send it to your teacher via Seesaw (or Remind if you do not have internet).

Math

  • Complete the Base Ten Number Building Activity. (found in folder)

  • Cut out base ten blocks found in your family tool kit.

  • ** Make sure to SAVE the cut out base ten blocks!**
