This board is built from curly maple, chosen for the natural movement in the grain—the way it shifts and catches light depending on the angle. It’s one of those woods that feels alive even after it’s been shaped.
The resin is used to complement that movement, filling and highlighting the natural character rather than covering it. Each section settles a little differently, which makes every piece like this unique.
Finished with a food-safe oil, it’s ready to be used for serving or kept out as a centerpiece. Pieces like this tend to do both.

This beautiful slice of a tree is a piece of art. The grain shows that for over 50 years, a large limb grew out of this part of the tree and their opposing forces created this wavy, quilted look you see here. I organically followed the grain with hand tools to smooth it out. Believe it or not, an axe, was great. I did use a power sander I'm not crazy...
It is finished with food grade mineral oil mixed with a lot of beeswax from a local beekeeper. This protects the wood and gives it it's appealing luster.
The star of this piece is really the live edge.

This is one of the most beautiful pieces of lumber I've had the pleasure to work with! It includes a big knot which causes all kinds of beautiful shapes and swirls of color and light. It has some bark enclosure which I cleaned out and filled the resulting voids with epoxy resin with metalic black and purple flakes. I added a slight curve that gives it an elegant shape.
The demensions are 30'' long by 7.5" wide (in the center), and 3/4" thick. It has a beaded roundover treatment on all the edges. The 3/4'' is on the thicker side for charcuterie boards, resulting in a sturdy board. It will hold all kinds of good eats and will safely allow cutting on the board.
It is finished with food-safe mineral oil and beeswax.

This charcuterie board is built from 1/2'' stock. It has a large void that I filled with epoxy resin. It has green, blue, and purple metallic pigments. The result is a facinating blend of organic shape.
The dimensions are 2'' long by 7.5" wide, and 3/8" thick. It has a 30 degree chamfer on the bottom side which lightens the appearance while making it easy to pick up while loaded.
It is finished with food-safe mineral oil and beeswax.
