The Capstone Project took a lot of time and dedication, and had to be thoroughly planned so everything was completed on time (especially with the pandemic and online learning).

The Process:

• Reserved the stage at school a few months in advance in order to record.

• Choose a solo piece to perform.

• Talked to band director about helping me record the day of the performance.

• Talked to the BTV (a club on campus that reports school news) about borrowing a professional camera.

• Filled out the extracurricular tracking sheet to the best of my ability (hunting down dates was a tedious process, though it was an enjoyable trip down memory lane).

• Completed a portfolio in a way that accurately represented who am I and demonstrated my passion for music.

• Researching articles about environmental awareness to help my audience better understand my cause.

• Wrote a poem that showcased my cause.

• Met once every week with band director to make sure I was on track and meeting the criteria provided.

• Looked for pictures and videos of our past performances/rehearsals.
