First Tech Challenge is an international robotics competition open to teams of young engineers in grades 7-12. Over 50,000 kids participated in the 2017-2018 season. Teams design, build, and program a robot to compete on a playing field against other robots. Each year, a new game is created that involves tasks for the robots to do. First Tech Challenge is managed by FIRST, a nonprofit committed to motivating kids to enter the STEM field.
