Here are the written instructions on how to become a Class Leader on Class DoJo. We realize some schools use Blooms or Remind, but a majority of your schools have at least some teachers using Classroom DoJo.
Go to www.classdojo.com
Click on “sign up”, then “school leader”.
Search for your school.
Request to be a school leader.
The admin will approve your request. Go talk to them if you haven’t been approved after a few days.
OR go to Directory > Students and then you can see who doesn't have Class Dojo. Then go to Focus and get their phone number and "invite" them to Class Dojo, which sends them a text with the link. Follow up with a phone call to the family and say "Hello I am (Name____) from the Family Center and I just sent you a link on Class Dojo. Did you receive that? Do you need help...?"
Click here for instructions on how to help parents upload the app and get connected on their phones.
** If you have any trouble with DoJo at all, email natalie@classdojo.com and she can help you get connected or answer any questions.
Email the teacher:
"Hi my name is _____. I am the Family Connector at the Family Engagement Center. I am a School Leader on Class Dojo. I've noticed there are parents that are not connected. I would love to reach out and help them get connected!"
OR you can send all the teachers an email:
If you want to join classes as a co-teacher, email the teachers and ask permission. As a co-teacher, you can see who is not yet connected. You can email the teachers.
Hello!
I am (name__ ) your Family Connector in the Family Engagement Center. I would love to help all families get connected on Class Dojo! I have access as an admin and will be connecting to your classes as a co-teacher. That way I can view who still needs to be connected. I will not be sending communications on your behalf, just getting them connected. If there is a family that for some reason does not want to be connected and has communicated that to you, please let me know. Otherwise I will start reaching out to help get them connected. Thank you!
Keep a list of families you connect to DoJo on the "Class Dojo" sheet on your monthly report. Send a teacher an email when you have connected their family. Take the list to the principal at your monthly meetings with him/her. All will be thrilled!!
Vision Van - You can send a message to the student's parent asking for permission - You have to be a co-teacher to chat with them.
