🚨 NOW HIRING NEW OFFICERS 🚨!!!
The Fairfax County Police Department's Traffic Division is comprised of specialized units focused on various aspects of road safety and law enforcement:
DWI Squad: This unit is specifically tasked with identifying and apprehending drivers under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Their efforts are crucial in reducing accidents and fatalities associated with impaired driving.
Motor Squad: Equipped with motorcycles, this squad enhances the division's agility and response time. They focus on traffic law enforcement, safety patrols, and are often deployed in areas where traditional patrol cars might be less effective.
Crash Reconstruction Unit: This team is responsible for investigating serious motor vehicle crashes, including those involving fatalities. Using forensic analysis and reconstructive techniques, they determine the causes of accidents and provide critical information for legal and preventive measures.
Speed Enforcement Team (SET): Dedicated to combating speed-related offenses, SET uses advanced radar and other speed detection technologies to enforce speed limits. Their work is pivotal in reducing speed-related accidents and promoting safer driving behaviors across the county.
Together, these teams form a comprehensive approach to traffic safety, combining enforcement, education, and advanced investigation techniques to protect and serve the community.
