The Fayette County Housing Authority offers housing at 17 sites throughout Fayette County. The rent is based on 30% of the gross family income. If there is an increase in income, the rent will be higher. However, if income decreases, the rent will be lowered.
The Housing Authority employs a full-time maintenance department that takes care of repairs and emergencies

The Connellsville Housing Authority strives to provide affordable housing for the citizens of Connellsville to meet the needs of those households, which, because of finances, are unable to find affordable places to live. The North Manor Apartments consist of 100 units in 20 buildings. Residences include 1, 2, 3, or 4 bedrooms. Many residences have small yards, and the spacious common areas are maintained by the Housing Authority. The common areas include a sprinkler area for children, a new pavilion, and a community room, along with ample green space. North Manor is part of Public Housing. As of January 1, 2018, North Manor is Smoke Free.
The Riverview Apartments consist of 100 units in an 11 story building. These apartments are available to the elderly. The building houses two elevators and is surrounded by parking. Common areas include a furnished living room with space for residents to socialize, a laundry room, and more, all on the first floor of the building. Public transportation stops directly across the street. The Riverview Apartments are Public Housing. As of January 1, 2018, Riverview Apartments are Smoke Free.
Greenwood Heights is an apartment complex with 118 units in 29 buildings. Apartments have 1, 2, or 3 bedrooms, with 4 apartments per building entrance. All grounds, including spacious lawns, are maintained by the Housing Authority. Greenwood Heights is Authority-owned housing, with a set rent for all residents. Greenwood Heights does not allow pets.
