Which software/machines/materials did you use this week? Why?

I used Prusa Slicer for adjust the printer settings because it's from the Prusa and we can adjust the settings from it

Design Process

Explain the design process of your assignment. How did you use the tool/software to design and/or simulate your assignment?

I Picked a 3d model of Eiffel tower from (Thingiverse) then i used Prusa Slicer Software to prepare the model and adjust printer type , infill , filament

I Picked the fablab logo then I used Laser works Software to adjust the cutting and engraving settting

Explain the fabrication/implementation process of your assignment. How did you use the machine/tool to manufacture or implement the design of your assignment?

We Sent the Code to the machine after we checked that we have made all the suitable settings then we check the machine cutting frame finally we stated cutting

the instructor told us if we have adjust settings correctly , how to over come the technical problems such as the heatbed problem ( , we were helping each other and my peer lamiass told me how to solve my file problem on laser works

Overcoming Challenges

When you got stuck, what/who did you turn to? At what point did you have to pause to research or learn more before moving on? What are some mistakes, pitfalls, or challenges that others can avoid if they were doing this project?

the heat bed wasn't fixed from the middel so the instructor told us we should bring the model far left on the heat bed To overcome this malfunction

Final Project

How can you use the skills and knowledge that you've acquired this week in your final project?

I have deeply learnt how to use the laser cutter and 3d printer

, know how to export the code to the machine and adjust the file settings to suit the material and space

What is the coolest thing that you've learned this week? What is something that you will never forget from this week?

I learned deeply how to use laser cutter machine , that we can cut almost anything, however weak it is, by using the laser cutter and use the machine's settings to our advantage what surprised that I saw a cardboard was cut by the laser cutter despite its weakness, and tI had not thought of that before

I have used the laser cutter before in my university projects, but I did not go deep into controlling the file and exporting the code. We have used the machines ourselves. , watching your model that you have designed till it become a real prototype it was amazing feeling .
