Week #4 - Journal
Ideation
Tell us about your assignment's idea for this week. Why do you care about this idea? What were you inspired by?
This week assignment idea was to design an electronic device which performs two actions at the same time.
I was inspired by this game ( The buzz wire ) as I love gamification on learning especially with the children or with one who have no idea on electronics circuits so I make a simple circuit from buzzer , bulb, on/off switch
Tell us about your assignment's idea for this week. Why do you care about this idea? What were you inspired by?
This week assignment was building a simple electronic device that performs two actions at the same time, I also was inspired by 7 segment display

Design Process
Explain the design process of your assignment. How did you use the tool/software to design and/or simulate your assignment?
First I tried to draw the schematic diagram for the circuit to know how can I connect them ,on series or on parallel
Then I used Tinker cad to tinker my circuit to make sure that my connection is okay, before starting the fabrication process and measure the current at the end by using the Multimeter
first I tried to draw rcircuit simulation on tinker cad then tried to calculate the amount of resistor finally i tried to package it as an alarm
Fabrication/Implementation Process
Explain the fabrication/implementation process of your assignment. How did you use the machine/tool to manufacture or implement the design of your assignment?
I used two types of fabrication / implementation process:
First :
Prototyping the body of the game
-I used cardboard, cutter pen , circle cutter to make. The base and the two vertical poles.
Secondly:
I used electronics components(on/off switch - mini buzzer - bulb- crocodile wires - jumper wires - DC power adapter ) to build my circuit
I used and old wire to cut off the insulator to make curves and the hook
I tried to make them in parallel so that tha bulb and the buzzer can have the same current

I tried to use tinker cad first to simulate the circuit
Community of Learning
Did you ask for feedback? What are the ideas that others have contributed or suggested? What was someone else’s idea that you built upon? How did you help your peers? How did your peers help you?
Me and my peers, We are trying to help each and share our assignments on what's up group together when I was having a problem with how to measure the current and learn how to use the multimeter also when I was having a problem with the 7 segment they helped me on the simulation I asked them and also my instructor during the week sessions helped me to know the difference between parallel and series connections
When I met Maryam on the extra session last week she told. me about her assignment idea ( operation game ) this gave me inspiration to make the buzz wire next week
Overcoming Challenges
When you got stuck, what/who did you turn to? At what point did you have to pause to research or learn more before moving on? What are some mistakes, pitfalls, or challenges that others can avoid if they were doing this project?
at first I built the circuit on series I found that only one component was working ,then I tried to connect them on parallel ,so that each one what have the same current and finally it worked
After I did the most of the exercises of the week successfully it was a little bit challenging to connect all together in one circuit I do know how to connect each component alone but I wasn't have an idea how can I connect altogether in one project then I tried to connect all the components in series I found that it worked
Final Project
How can you use the skills and knowledge that you've acquired this week in your final project?
I have learned how to build a simple circuit and make the simulation of the circuit first I think it will help me to build more complex circuits with different components and use tinker cad first to test my circuit
WOW!
What is the coolest thing that you've learned this week? What is something that you will never forget from this week?
Actually this week was full of interesting learning points, as I have no idea on electronics I have learned more about them , how to connect a simple circuit and how to calculate the current and voltage of the circuit
how to imbed this circuit on a product prototype
Weekly Digest [OPTIONAL]
Tell us about any other cool things that you've made this week: Pre-activity, examples, exercises, or any mini-projects.
I made this week activity Actually it was very interesting and how the circuit was moving from easiest to most complex.
First
I tried to power a DC Motor on on tinker cad and with power supply
Then tried to power it with the multimeter and calculate the current
finally , to tried to change the voltage of the power supply on thinker cad to 6 v I noticed that the current had increased
I tried to power n LED by using Ohm's low to calculate the value of current limiting resistor , I tried to simulate the circuit at first on thinker cad to make sure that the amount of resistance is correct
I tried to power two electronic components ( in series) I noticed that the lamp brightness and the motor speed had been decreased
I tried to power two components (in Series )
Then powering the two components( in parallel )
And knew the difference between them I noticed the change of the brightness of the lamp and the speed of the motor
Finally I tried to connect an LDR ( light Dependent Resistor ) with an LED in an electrical circuit , when the LDR is exposed to light source , the LED was brighting and when the LDR
