This Termination Policy outlines the grounds, procedures, and consequences of account termination to ensure transparency and fairness.
1. Scope
This policy applies to all users of Fasta Rides, including:
Passengers booking rides.
Senders using parcel delivery services.
Drivers providing transportation or delivery services.
2. Grounds for Termination
Fasta Rides may suspend or terminate an account, at our sole discretion, for reasons including but not limited to:
2.1. Violation of Policies
Breaching the Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, Cancellation Policy, or Driver Conduct Policy.
Examples include:
Engaging in illegal activities (e.g., transporting prohibited items, harassment, or fraud).
Providing false or misleading information during registration or service use.
Repeated cancellations or no-shows beyond acceptable limits (as per the Cancellation Policy).
For drivers: failing to maintain valid licenses, insurance, or vehicle standards.
2.2. Safety Concerns
Actions that compromise the safety of users, drivers, or the public (e.g., violence, unsafe driving, or transporting hazardous materials).
Reports of harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior, whether by passengers, senders, or drivers.
2.3. Fraud or Misuse
Attempting to defraud Fasta Rides, drivers, or other users (e.g., manipulating fares, using stolen payment methods).
Unauthorized use of the App, such as hacking, reverse-engineering, or creating multiple accounts to bypass restrictions.
2.4. Non-Payment
Failure to settle outstanding fees, including ride fares, delivery charges, or cancellation/no-show fees, after reasonable notice.
2.5. Inactivity
Accounts inactive for 24 months may be terminated, subject to our Privacy Policy’s data retention guidelines.
2.6. Legal or Regulatory Requirements
Termination required to comply with applicable laws, regulations, or requests from law enforcement authorities.
3. Termination Procedure
3.1. Suspension
Fasta Rides may temporarily suspend an account while investigating potential violations.
During suspension:
Users cannot book rides, send parcels, or provide driver services.
Users will be notified via email or in-app message with the reason for suspension and any steps required to resolve it.
Suspensions may last until the issue is resolved or may lead to permanent termination.
3.2. Permanent Termination
If a violation is confirmed or deemed severe, Fasta Rides may permanently terminate the account.
Users will be notified via email or in-app message, including:
The reason for termination.
Any outstanding obligations (e.g., unpaid fees).
Information on how to appeal (if applicable).
3.3. Immediate Termination
In cases of serious violations (e.g., safety threats, illegal activities, or fraud), Fasta Rides may terminate an account immediately without prior notice.
Immediate termination may also involve reporting to law enforcement if required.
4. Consequences of Termination
Access Revoked: Terminated users lose access to the App and Website, including booking, delivery, or driver functionalities.
Data Handling: Personal information will be handled per our Privacy Policy. Some data may be retained for legal or operational purposes (e.g., transaction records).
Outstanding Fees: Users must settle any outstanding fees before or after termination. Fasta Rides may pursue collection if necessary.
No Refunds: Fees paid for services, including subscription fees (if applicable), are non-refundable upon termination.
Driver-Specific: Terminated drivers cannot reapply to join Fasta Rides under a new account without written approval.
5. User-Initiated Termination
Users may voluntarily terminate their account by:
Contacting support@fastarides.com with a request to delete their account.
Using the account deletion option in the App’s settings (if available).
Users must settle any outstanding fees before account deletion.
Upon user-initiated termination, data will be handled per the Privacy Policy, with some information retained as required by law.
6. Appeals Process
Users may appeal a suspension or termination within 14 days of receiving notice, unless the termination was due to illegal activity or safety violations.
To appeal:
Submit a written request to appeals@fastarides.com, including your account details and explanation.
Fasta Rides will review the appeal and respond within 10 business days.
Decisions on appeals are final and at Fasta Rides’ discretion.
7. Reinstatement
Reinstatement of a terminated account is rare and subject to Fasta Rides’ sole discretion.
Users or drivers seeking reinstatement must resolve all issues leading to termination (e.g., settling fees, providing updated documentation).
Drivers may need to undergo a new background check or vehicle inspection.
8. Changes to This Policy
Fasta Rides may update this Termination Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on our Website and App.
Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
Significant changes will be communicated via email or in-app notifications.
