AT AYKON CITY, DAMAC PROPERTIES CELEBRATES 4.4 M SECURE WORKER HOURS

Damac Properties, a land development firm headquartered in Dubai, announced that AYKON Area, the $2 billion luxury mixed-use project being created on Sheikh Zayed Road, has achieved 4.4 million safe hours.

This comes as a result of the company's contribution to the welfare of its staff since 2002 by implementing, according to a press release, the highest safety standards.

Senior vice president of Damac Properties, said: "At every point of our business operation, DAMAC's 'Security First' culture plays a central role. Whether it's awarding building contracts or doing daily independent reviews by HSE auditors, when it comes to reaching our target of 'zero accidents' at DAMAC, we believe in going the extra mile.

On this outstanding safety success, I congratulate the project management and HSE teams. We will seek to adopt new and creative approaches to further develop our success in health and safety.

Virtual reality pods were built earlier this year in AYKON City to replicate real-life hazard conditions and increase employee safety awareness.

In 2018, at the DAMAC Towers by Paramount, Damac reported 25 million secure worker hours.
