Researchers are often looking for ways to objectively measure effects of their interventions such as biomarkers. Cortisol serves as a useful biomarker in healthcare studies because of its involvement in various physiological processes and its responsiveness to both acute and chronic stressors. By measuring cortisol levels, researchers can gain valuable insights into the interplay between stress, physiology, and health, allowing for a more comprehensive understanding of disease mechanisms and potential therapeutic targets. Our lab intends to assist researchers design, implement, and analyze cortisol. If your team is looking to collaborate and would appreciate assistance with either a feasibility or full study using cortisol as a biomarker, please contact Dr. Platt. We would love to discuss potential ways our team (here at Brigham Young University) might assist with your project.
