Vault-Tec Systems
This is the historical section of Fallout Universe, here there is wide variety of history that comes along with the community. Don't be too overwhelmed by the information given, everything is listed in order of events. Top being the first, bottom being the most recent.
The origins of Fallout go back to 1997 with the release of the first game, titled "Fallout". This game was different from other post-apocalyptic games because it focused on role-playing.
A year later, the second game was released, titled "Fallout 2" (1998). The community of Fallout then grew more. The first 2 games in the series were much different though, in terms of art style and game play.
The first 2 games in the series did relatively well, but the original company behind the first 2 games went bankrupt, and so the Fallout franchise was bought by Bethesda Game Studios in 2007. Now the franchise would be handled by Bethesda.
From this point on, the Fallout series would take a much different turn, in terms of art style, and game play compared to the first 2 games. Bethesda made "Fallout 3" (2007), the game appealed to many more people due to it also being sold on consoles. As well as a new 3D first-person shooter style.
The next game to be released in the series would be "Fallout: New Vegas" (2010). A game that would arguably be the best within the franchise, combining both story and game play. This game would be the last to reference both "Fallout 1", and "Fallout 2". Something that many older fans enjoyed.
The next biggest game by Bethesda in the Fallout series would be "Fallout 4" (2015). This game would have a new total overhaul in graphics and arts style, while also having several new feature. But the game did suffer from some backlash for not having a good story and weapon selection.
The most recent and Bethesda's most ambitious game in the Fallout series would be "Fallout 76" (2018). During the initial release of the game, a lot of backlash came from fans. Mostly due to Bethesda's poor choices when it came to the release, and advertising of the game.
Fallout today, is a series that is loved by millions around the world, and it is an amazing community to be apart of! I cannot wait to see what is to come for the series.
