During year 2022, I started to be interested in playing Campaigns, and thus, understand how it works.
I suppose I faced (and continue to face) the same issue as every Noob : Gathering information from multiple sources, understand their content … and remember them.
This "wiki" purpose is to centralize and capitalize my knowledge about the Falcon 4.0 BMS Dynamic Campaign, in order to take the best advantage it.
This wiki is not designed as a proper tutorial, you will find tons of Videos on YouTube explaining how to mod or create you campaigns
Here is more a Resources Data base of Rules and Tips related to BMS Dynamic Campaign, some quite basic, some more tricky.
Bellow the main chapters / Sections with there descriptions.
Enjoy.
CheckPoint
The trigger file also know as campaign.tri, is a file which is used to trigger changes in teams behaviors in Campaigns, set End Game conditions, as well as introducing some Story Telling features.
The campaign file, also know as campaign.cam, is the file which contains the actual campaign material (ie : Objectives, Links, Units, ...)
Mainly Units structure (Squadron, Division, Brigades, Battalions, Vehicles, ...) and Objectives status (Owner, Damages, ...).
Data Base are files related to a Theater and not to a specific campaign. They contain the Units and Objectives technical details.
Most can be accessed through Falcon BMS Editor.
Some can be simply accessed with any Text editor.
In order to make these references easier to read Iwill be using the color code bellow :
