2020 Team Awards

Team awards are chosen by the coaching staff and are awarded at our end-of-season banquet. Congratulations to the 2020 recipients.

Scout Team Player Award - #85 Dylan Hanvey (Freshman)

This is awarded to the individual who never is found standing around watching. He is constantly participating on every scout team possible, making himself and his team better. He gives maximum effort each and every day, and never complains or displays anything less than a positive attitude.

Co-Most Improved Player - #61 Elijah Barnum (Freshman)

Co-Most Improved Player - #52 Isaiah Lynch (Freshman)

This is awarded to the player who has worked hard from the start of the season to the end and has shown great improvement in the game of football. He is not always the most athletic person on your team, but the one player who works hard and many times ends up being an important part of the team’s success by his play or his work ethic.

Sportsmanship Award - #70 Johnathan Anders (Sophomore)

This is awarded to the player who, in a game of physical contact, has demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship. He demonstrates this on the practice field, during the games, and off the field as well. He is a true team player who encourages all and puts no one down.

Unsung Hero Award - #56 Jared Estes (Senior)

Awarded to the player who doesn’t have the big statistics nor is he the one who stands out in the big play department, but he was the hidden glue that helped hold the team together. He truly put the team ahead of his personal goals, and without this sacrifice for the team and without his constant contribution, the team would not have been as successful as it was.

Coaches Award - #51 Will Myers (Junior)

This is a special award given to the player who has all of the qualities and attributes you look for in a football player, but more importantly those found in an outstanding young man. Not only has he worked hard to improve in all areas of football, but also he leads by example, and truly plays for the love of the game. He is the player that puts the team above himself. He is a hard worker, a great leader, a wonderful teammate, and, most of all, a person of character.

Special Teams MVP - #10 Nathan Mickley (Senior)

This is awarded to the player who has demonstrated his athletic abilities on various special teams. He is the one player who has demonstrated the most consistent play game after game at a variety of positions.

Offensive MVP - #7 Peyton Stadler (Junior)

This is awarded to the player who has demonstrated his athletic abilities on the offensive side of the football. He is the one player who, when needed, can help move the offense down the field on his shoulders by his outstanding play.

Defensive MVP - #76 Carr Baker (Junior)

This is awarded to the player who has demonstrated his athletic abilities on the defensive side of the ball. He is the one player who always seems to be around the football, and the player who, when needed, makes the big stop or the big hit on defense.

Team MVP - #80 Nathan Roberts (Senior)

This is awarded to the player who has demonstrated the attributes needed for both offense and defense. He is a great player on both sides of the ball, and is the one player who would be hard to replace. He is a leader and a truly valuable player for the team.
