FADLU offers an accredited degree programs.

The world's first accredited online university is the First African Distance Learning University (FADLU).

First African Distance Learning University (FADLU) is generally recognized as a legitimate, government-approved international online university. It is incorporated in Nigeria under RC 1766732, and registered with the Higher Education Commission in Mauritius under Registration ID IC402357. FADLU is also accredited by international bodies such as the Education Board for Accreditation through CCLP Worldwide, and the Association of International Universities for Distance Education (AIUDE) etc.

Nigerian Technical/Vocational Registration.

National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) : As of April 20 and April 27, 2026 , FADLU was registered with NBTE under User ID 2028601.   A second User ID 2063591 , was registered as Vocational Enterprise Institute (VEI) in Nigeria through NBTE to offer skills training.  

  FADLU continues to offer degree programs online.

 FADLU Head Vocational Centre for Skills Programs is located in Awgu and oversees multiple other FADLU centers across Enugu State.

First African Distance Learning University (FADLU) on 12Th April 2026 in partnership and collaboration with United Nation UN.

On 12th April 2026, the First African Distance Learning University (FADLU) entered into a partnership and collaboration with the United Nations (UN).

The First African Distance Learning University (FADLU) was founded on December 28, 2020, by Chime Ifebuchechukwu Giland, and was later incorporated as a private company in Nigeria on March 8, 2021.

FADLU’s main campus is in Awgu, operating through the VOCATIONAL CENTER TVET NABTE. 

The university offers fully online degree programs and is an internationally accredited institution focused on distance learning across Africa and beyond.
