The Kansas City Cherokee Community, hereinafter referred to as (KCCC) is a non-political, non-profit Native American organization whose members reside outside the boundaries of the Cherokee Nation. The mission of the KCCC is to strengthen membership awareness through education on the language, history, culture, heritage, and traditions of the Cherokee people. We have come together based on our shared heritage, and out of an interest in the continuation of and a love for the Cherokee People and Tribal Nations.
Kansas City Cherokee Community is a Chartered Chapter of the Cherokee Nation and acts as the official point of connection between the Cherokee Nation and its Kansas City Cherokee Community members.
Membership and participation is not limited to a geographical location. One of the board members of KCCC is from Omaha, Nebraska. They also have active membership that expands to the state of New York!
