(1)Problem to Overcome:This week while designing the circuit, we faced many challenges. Whether it was the timer or the simulators, we knew that we would just have to overcome it. As a group we knew this meant that we would have to come closer together so there was not excess confusion in miscommunication. The problem we had to find a solution to was, a circuit that detected the symptoms of corona virus. Such as high fever, low respiration levels, and a dry cough. Yet it also had to be able to detect whether these symptoms came from the actual illness of corona virus, or from enduring a task like working out.
(2)Brainstorm: During our individual brainstorm, we had realized we had all interpreted different ideas from the lesson. This had helped us gain different aspects of the circuit and how to program it. After collaborating together we knew that the many different aspects could leadt to a greater understanding, but more would need to be hands on with the programming this week.
(3)Decision Time: When it came down to figuring out what to do to create the solution, we had multiple people communicating their ideas on the circuit board. Especially with the stimulators and timer. When it came to the research paper we had others collaborting through a google doc so their work could be recorded and shared properly. The zoom calls especially helped to discuss misunderstandiings.
(4)Distinctive Details: As a group we have figured out what areas we are confused on, specificall the timers. This helped us have more working on the timer to get it out of the way and go back to finishing up the tasks we could do quickly. During this time we knew our solution had to be accurate just as if it were a real medical device so we made sure to spend our time wisely on areas that demanded help.
(5)Why is it the best: Our design is the best because we spent our time effeciently, and made sure to use all the different aspects of the circuit in our design. I think as a group tat is an advantage we used to our benefit. We saw it as an opportunity to better our design instead of a place of confusion. We came together to share our ideas and thought process allowing us create a design that was beneficial to those who use it.
(6)Testing Process: During our test process we found some areas that were not as precise as we wanted them to be, such as the timer. We made sure to get back to work on it and created a solution to it though. Overall making our projection of how the solution would work come to life.
(7)Circuit Performance: The circuit overall did its task, and performed how we wanted it to. There were some struggles throughout the process but with the time we were given, and our effecient work habits, we are happy with our circuit. We know it will do its jobs for others, overall making this challenge a relieving one for us to achieve.
(8)Is It Prepared: Yes this is our final design report.
