Exodus 12:25-28
The Passover Ceremony
25 When you enter the land that the LORD will give you as he promised, observe this ceremony. 26 And when your children ask you, 'What does this ceremony mean to you?' 27 then tell them, 'It is the Passover sacrifice to the LORD, who passed over the houses of the Israelites in Egypt and spared our homes when he struck down the Egyptians.' " Then the people bowed down and worshiped. 28 The Israelites did just what the LORD commanded Moses and Aaron.
Moses and Aaron give instructions to the Israelites on the ceremony of the Passover...The question God wants us to ask is "What does this mean to you?"...All future generations of believers need to ask this...What does this mean to you???...
When we answer this question, it can turn into the question, "What do you believe (in)???"...All of us young and old need to have a belief system, our own philosophy on life...Otherwise, we are like a ship without a rudder...Future generations would learn what the Passover means to them and their children would learn from this questioning...By telling the young people what the parents and elders believe in starts the foundation of the youth's knowledge and wisdom...
True wisdom comes from God...God's wisdom is based on moral laws as described and taught by Jesus...God's wisdom is what parents were to teach their children...
If God's laws, teachings, and commands are followed "life would go well for them forever", young and old (Deuteronomy 5:29)...
