Attention

Paying attention is focusing on a situation, person, or task over a period of time. Attention also requires staying focused when there are distractions.

What are some examples of attention?

• Listening and watching a teacher during class

• reading an entire chapter in a book without stopping or getting distracted

• ignoring distractions to complete an assignment

• paying attention to the teacher/coach/friend telling a story even if you are tired.
