Performance Opportunities
Performing is a fun and essential part of being involved in our Strings Program. Dates of performances and other events will be advised separately. Some of the events are highlighted below.
Attendance at these performances is compulsory. If your child is genuinely unable to attend, please advise respective Strings Coordinator as early as possible so necessary adjustments can be made.
Arts Alive Choral Festival by NSW Arts Unit
For Senior String Ensemble only
The Arts Alive Choral Festival is a suite of performances held annually celebrating the talents of students in NSW public school. The event features a massed choir as well as outstanding ensembles and soloist representing schools across greater Sydney and beyond.
In 2023, our Senior String Ensemble represented EWPS to perform 'Symphony No.5 Scherzo" at the Sydney Opera House as part of the instrumental works.

Festival of Instrumental Music

Each year about 10 students from Senior String Ensemble are chosen to represent Epping West Public School to join the NSW Art Unit and many other public schools to perform at the Sydney Opera House or Sydney Town Hall.
