Epping West Public School
Strings Program
Our Vision
The Epping West Public School Strings Program provides opportunities to EWPS students who are interested to learn and play orchestral strings instruments. Our program is committed to provide an environment for our young musicians to learn, create and perform, and most importantly enjoy music.
Our Strings Program is supported by our Strings Committee overseen by EWPS Parents & Citizens Association (P&C). Our Strings Committee is solely run by volunteers who are keen to support and foster a musical culture in our school.
Our Strings Program consists of the following:
1) Training String Ensemble (NEW)
2) Beginner String Ensemble
3) Intermediate String Ensemble
4) Senior String Ensemble
Our Strings Program aim to:
To give EWPS students the opportunity to play an instrument in a team environment
To give EWPS students who play an instrument an opportunity to play in an ensemble that corresponds to their level of musical development
To develop the ability to be part of a large team
To develop musical appreciation and expression through music
Why join EWPS String Program?
There are many reasons for EWPS children to join our string ensembles:
Children are interested in music in general
Parents want children to be part of a team that develops and matures over a number of years
A different kind of learning experience with music education for developing minds.
Being part of a musical ensemble can provide children with skills that will last. Children will not only gain musical benefits, but being in an ensemble, children will develop socially, physically and often academically. Children learn valuable team skills, and above all have fun!
We look forward to welcoming your child to EWPS Strings Program.
