Research fellow at the Department of Economics - Roma Tre. Her research lies at the intersection between Machine Learning and econometrics, focusing on applying ML techniques to international economics. Her previous research encompasses utilizing ML techniques for both predictive purposes and in the context of Causal ML frameworks. During her doctoral studies, she was a visiting researcher at Centre d'Etudes Prospectives et d'Informations Internationales (CEPII) and the Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies (WIIW).
Full Professor of Applied Economics at Roma Tre University. Member of the Steering Committee of the Italian Economic Association (2022-2025). Previously Member of the scientific secretariat of the Italian Society of Economics and Industrial Policy (SIEPI) (2017-2022). Coordinator of the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet project “Understanding European Economic Policy: Towards a Deeper Union” (2019-2022). Schuman-Fulbright Research Scholar at the University of Massachusetts Lowell (2011-2012). Her main research topics include: income redistribution and stabilization of economic fluctuations at the international, inter-regional and microeconomic levels, with a focus on the role of European, national, and local public policies; determinants and impact of University-Industry relations; higher education collaboration networks. Some of the recent work has been published in: European Journal of Political Economy, Regional Studies, Higher Education, Journal of Common Market Studies, Journal of Policy Modeling, Journal of Technology Transfer, Structural Change and Economic Dynamics, Economics of Innovation and New Technology.
Research Fellow at the Department of Economics, Roma Tre University. Her research interests include socio-economic and intergenerational territorial disparities and the analysis of European Union policies, especially in peripheral areas, with a focus on the Next Generation EU. During her PhD studies, she was a visiting researcher at the Department of Geography and Environment at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
