Costanza Giannantoni

Hi! I am postdoctoral research fellow (contratto di ricerca) at Gran Sasso Science Institute. 

Previously, I was postdoc in Public Economics at the Department of Social Sciences and Economics of Sapienza University of Rome.

My main research interests include topics in Public Economics, Local Public Finance and Political Economy, with a focus on local bureaucracy and gender. 

I received my PhD in Economics from Sapienza Department of Economics in 2024. My thesis, titled "Essays on Decentralisation and Local Economic Development", was awarded the AISRe Giorgio Leonardi Prize 2025.

In 2023, I visited the Cañada-Blanch Centre at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
