Illnesses

Turtles require certain conditions in order to remain healthy. If these conditions are not met, they will become ill.

Turtles require at least 10 gals per inch of shell for tanks size. They require a filter that is rated to filter 3x the capacity of the tank.

They also require a balanced diet with foods rich in calcium as well as key vitamins and minerals.

They require UVB/UVA and heat lamps.

They require a basking dock so they can bask and dry off completely in order to benefit from the lighting.

They require certain temps in order to keep their metabolism going.
