Below is an infographic I created to encourage students to think about the best way to utilize a cellphone or other personal device in my classroom! The idea is that I would have this posted somewhere visible in my room for them to notice. There is also an article linked through a QR code that expands on the idea if they are interested!
Topic 2 - Teachers are Learners
I wanted to include a small example of some of the books I have read over the past few months! Although this is not all of them, it is a survey sample to show the range of books I have consumed over this year. I think it is important to show students that they can read for pleasure as well as enjoy assigned texts.
This is a pedagogical approach to teaching literature from the perspective of teaching students to have a good relationship with reading, and I enjoyed Kittle's philosophy that she shared in this book. I facilitated a PLC meeting using this book as a guide, and it was highly successful.
I am currently reading Vow of Thieves for fun! Fantasy is one of my current favorite genres, and this is the second book in a dualogy! I am loving the different tropes in this novel, especially enemies to lovers.
I recently read Beloved in an American Literature class focusing on Toni Morrison's work! It was a departure from the novels that I usually gravitate toward, but it helped me broaden my understanding of the experience of Black Americans during the 1900s.

Below is a screencast presentation discussion the pros and cons of integrating AI into the classroom! This is a tool that educators, parents, and students could use to begin their journey in learning more about the pros and cons of using AI in the classroom.
