Topic 4 - Digital Citizenship
In this topic, I wanted to explore how different educational sites that I have frequently used in my own time as a student might collect data from their users. This is important to me, for I believe that information regarding data mining should be accessible to users and something students are aware of!
Philosophy statement:
My philosophy on data is built on respect, transparency, and responsibility. We collect only necessary information, prioritize privacy, and seek explicit consent for data use. Every piece of data serves a clear purpose—improving services while upholding ethical standards and legal compliance. We're committed to continual improvement, ensuring data practices align with evolving regulations like FERPA and the Student Data Protection Act.
