Overall Data Review
In order to obtain data for this project, I chose a survey over other research methods. Sixty participants took part in the survey. Below is an overview those results.Â
The bulk of the queer community identify as bisexual, followed "Other."
70% of respondents were aware we had a Pride Center at EvCC.
Respondents felt strongly about the importance of having a Pride Center on campus.
Shockingly, 78.3% of respondents reported never visiting the Pride Center once last year.
54.5% of respondents find the Pride Center accessible despite having a disability, while 33.3% reported that they did not find the Pride Center accessible.
49% found the Pride Center somewhat inviting, while 32.7% responded that they found the Pride Center inviting.
While many respondents reported never having visited the Pride Center, those that did reported that size was the one thing they would change.
A large majority reported taking classes on campus or a combination of both, giving them ample opportunity to visit the Pride Center if they chose too.
62.1% of respondents identified as white.
